Guests must wear enclosed shoes (shoe hire is available), shorts/pants (no skirts or dresses) and a top with no loose jewellery that may get caught on your harness.

No food of any kind is allowed upstairs in the Wildlife Dome due to Queensland Health guidelines. However, you may bring drink bottles. We also have a large range of cold drinks available for sale.

The Cairns Wildlife Dome and Crocodile Explorer are located atop the Reef Hotel Casino, and entry is available through the lifts in the casino foyer. For wheelchair access, upon exiting the lift, there is a sign directing you to the left-hand side of the stairs where a ramp is located at the back of the reception area and shop. Tickets can be purchased at this location, and the staff will accompany you to the staff lift for access to the dome. Keep an eye out for a small sign indicating wheelchair access around the corner, leading to the ramp.

Once inside the rainforest dome, you can enjoy the sight of birds flying freely throughout the dome. There are five shows offered throughout the day, including the Bird Feed Out Tour, Bird Banter Show, Reptile Rap Show, Dome Reed Out Tour, and Furry Friends Show. Accessible paths are available throughout the dome, including the upper walkways, ensuring a seamless experience for all visitors.
