The Reef Day Tour starts and finishes in Cairns. Check-in is at the Reef Fleet Terminal, Marlin Marina, 1 Spence Street, Cairns, from 7:15am to 7:45am, with the boat departing at 8:00am and returning at 4:30pm. The Rainforest Day Tour includes pick-up and drop-off from Cairns, Northern Beaches or Port Douglas accommodation. Cairns Southside guests must make their own way to 287 Draper Street, Parramatta Park, Cairns. The nearest airport is Cairns Airport.
The tour combines a Great Barrier Reef cruise and a Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation adventure. The rainforest tour involves a guided boardwalk walk, a freshwater swim and travel in a custom-built 4WD vehicle. The tour operator limits group size on the rainforest experience for a more personalised experience.
For the Reef Cruise, bring a hat and sunscreen, spare clothes, swimmers and a towel, plus a credit card for any additional items. For the Rainforest Tour, bring a hat and sunscreen, comfortable clothing and footwear, a water bottle, and optionally swimmers and a towel. A credit card is also recommended for additional items.
This is a 2-day tour package consisting of separate Reef and Rainforest day tours. Accommodation is not included.
If you choose to dive, all divers must complete a Queensland Medical Questionnaire. Divers over 65 years, or over 45 years for PADI dive courses, require medical clearance confirming they are fit to dive. Medical clearance is also required for medical conditions and prescription medications. The dive instructor can cancel a dive if they consider there is a safety risk. The tour operator recommends not flying within 24 hours of your last dive.
They can be, but they don't have to be. The two tours operate on different days, so they may not always be available on consecutive days. When booking, select your Reef Tour date first, then select your Rainforest Tour date on the following page.
